Friends, as part of our commitment to supporting one another on our publishing journeys, we would like to share some resources that we have found especially helpful. Each of these offers guidance, insights, and practical tools that can make the often-mysterious publishing process more approachable. 

Jane Friedman
Jane is one of the most respected voices in publishing today. Her website is filled with thoughtful articles on writing, publishing, and building an author platform: janefriedman.com. She also hosts a YouTube channel with interviews, advice, and reflections on the changing landscape of publishing: Jane Friedman on YouTube

Authors Guild Resource Library
This is an excellent hub for understanding contracts, rights, and the legal side of publishing. It is a good place to begin if you are navigating agreements with publishers or considering membership: authorsguild.org

Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA)
IBPA offers webinars, articles, and networking opportunities with a focus on independent and hybrid publishing. Their resources are very useful if you are exploring paths outside of large presses: ibpa-online.org

Anne R. Allen’s Blog
